Rockstar

During the not so dynamic life of a research scholar some common worries which haunt your peers sometimes are as follows:
1) Well all my friends are living it up while am freezing my arse off.
2) I work in an all encompassing area to make some miniscule progress in a period of five years, which probably no one cares about.
3) These are best years of my life !
But then mostly the pleasure of creativity keeps you ticking and you ignore the larger picture bogus questions and focus on enjoying the silent battle with yourself.
Few weeks back, some time around thanksgiving, I happened to watch a movie called Rockstar, pathetic in every other sense except for the music, the movie had one touching moment. The protagonist is kicked out of his house and spends three homeless months in a dargah ahhh, where out of nothingness he sings and sings and sings and sings and sings some more..........

Beatles spent a lot of time playing for no-one in a club in germany.
Einstein spent years as a clerk in the patent office in a mind numbing job.
Nirad C Chaudry spent years of oblivion before being labelled as the Indian with best hold on English language.
So on and so forth.............

If you can't connect the dots then maybe you don't need to, stop thinking and let it go.........
this is ur rockstar period....work for urself.....play for urself, write for urself, think for urself........live for urself.
